0. LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS 0.1. NAME OF STANDARD 0.1.1. This Standard is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 52/00 – Rear Fog Lamps) 2006. 0.1.2. This Standard may also be cited as Australian Design Rule 52/00 — Rear Fog Lamps. 0.2. COMMENCEMENT 0.2.1. This Standard commences on the day after it is registered. 0.3. REPEAL 0.3.1. This Standard repeals each vehicle standard with the name Australian Design Rule 52/00 — Rear Fog Lamps that is: (a) made under section 7 of the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989; and (b) in force at the commencement of this Standard. 0.3.2. This Standard also repeals each instrument made under section 7 of the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989 that creates a vehicle standard with the name Australian Design Rule 52/00 — Rear Fog Lamps, if there are no other vehicle standards created by that instrument, or amendments to vehicle standards made by that instrument, that are still in force at the commencement of this Standard. 1. SCOPE This Australian Design Rule (ADR) prescribes the photometric requirements for rear fog lamps which are used to make the vehicle more easily visible from the rear by emitting a red signal of greater intensity than the rear position (side) lamps. 2. APPLICABILITY AND IMPLEMENTATION 2.1. The circumstances under which rear fog lamps are mandatory, optional, or prohibited are set out in either ADRs 13/…, 19/… or 67/…. 3. DEFINITIONS 3.1. Refer to paragraph 1 of Appendix A. 4. REQUIREMENTS 4.1. Devices complying with the technical requirements of Appendix A as varied by part 5 Exemptions and Alternative Procedures and part 6 Supplementary General Requirements shall be accepted as complying with this rule.
